This RAPN/APEX Professional Mixer does just that for you. Come meet your RAPN and APEX colleagues and make some new friends. RAPN and APEX have been organizing events where members can socialize, and build long-lasting relationships to support each others' professional interests. Both organizations exist to serve the needs of young Romanian American and Asian American professionals to explore new career paths, meet peers and leaders who impart insights from their experience, and truly understand what “community” means.
On Feb 21, at 7pm, at Yamashiro Restaurant in Hollywood, these two organizations will have a common professional mixer to bridge their cultures and emphasize their everlasting interest in a better tomorrow.
There is going to be a donation fee - $5 - $15 at the entrance with proceeds going toward a charitable cause. Please be on time, have your business cards at handy and be ready to mingle and have a good time.

Blue Heron Mentorship Program Ongoing

In our ongoing support for the Blue Heron Foundation, RAPN members are joining a newly formed Mentor Program to provide guidance and encouragement to impoverished children in Romania. All of these children are selected by BHF to be in the BHF Scholarship Program. Each of the students are required to write a monthly report on their experiences, and through the BHF mentorship program, RAPN members and friends can write back to the students – creating a strong partnership for success. We encourage you to write from your own experiences, thus giving these students some much needed support, guidance and motivation.
The program requires up to a four year commitment. Please understand that the main problem these orphaned students encounter is abandonment. Therefore, a true dedication to the cause is required.

Romania Animal Rescue, Inc. had a “Legendary Bingo Bash” fundraising event. The $20 suggested donation included all bingo games, much FUN and loads of laughs. A Transylvanian in Silicon Valley
Created and Performed by Silvian Centiu
Described as “One man's picaresque journey from Transylvanian terror to Silicon Valley success” this biting comedy is based on Centiu’s life: his fight against Ceausescu's dictatorship in Romania, his dangerous escape and trek through four countries, his homeless life in the streets of Vienna scouring trashcans for empty bottles, and ultimately his upper management ascend in the USA, with leading technology companies such as Oracle and Sony.
The show benefited the Blue Heron Foundation, a non-profit charity for Romanian institutionalized children.

Arts organization Create:Fixate geared up to present the 15th installment of their highly anticipated event, "The Optical Lounge and Audio Lab." The show presented five rooms dedicated to visual and multi-media art as well as two sound systems pumping musical pleasure. Motivated to help those less fortunate, Andre Freimann donated a portion of proceeds to a charity designated by RAPN to help the homeless and orphans in Romania.
